People often ask me how to get started doing something: how to start writing or write better, how to start a company, how to better manage time and be more creative. I also get asked about taking gap years, dropping out, traveling, or learning to code.

I still answer these emails individually, but that can only scale so far. So I’ve made this guide, my single home for my answers to all these questions – hard-learned lessons, perspective-shifting advice, foundational feedback I’ve collected over the years. I don’t promise they’re comprehensive or correct or the keys to the secret garden. They’re just the way I look at things. No more, no less.
